The Three Stages

a peak into the creative process

Throwing

Every piece is weighed out and thrown on the wheel. The wheel provides an efficient way to create while giving flexibility to the shape and size.

Trimming

Once the piece is leather hard, it can be trimmed. Trimming removes excess clay and the bottom of the piece can be cleaned up and finalized.

Glazing

Glazes can be applied in a multitude of ways and depending on the clay and layers of glaze, the final outcome can looks a variety of ways.
